Art on Display by Mark Odegard

Stop by the Library to view the Mark Odegard show displayed on the walls. This show came out of work Mark did this summer during his residency in the Artist at Pine Needles program. The work is in the vein of 1930-1940 travel posters, but the subjects are from the St. Croix Valley. The residency program is sponsored by the St Croix Watershed Research Station.

Mark Odegard lived in Marine on St Croix for 25 years, and then he and his wife moved to China to teach English. He has been an active artist and designer for 50 years. Mark was head of the art department at the Science Museum of Minnesota for many years.

The show will be on display in the Maine Community Library from December 6 through the end of February.
