During the school year, we offer Storytimes and other programs for kids and families. To receive notifications about upcoming programs, you can join our email list.
Join us for special stories on Thursday mornings from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. We meet upstairs in the Marine Village Hall where there is plenty of room to spread out.
Free! All ages welcome.
Storytimes are scheduled through December 30, 2021 (no Storytime on Thanksgiving).
Masks required for everyone over two years of age.

The Marine Community Library has a wide assortment of books and materials for kids of all ages, from board books for babies to fiction and nonfiction for teens. We continually add new releases and other materials to our collection, and we also have childhood classics like Dr. Seuss and Berenstain Bears. Lists of recent additions to our collection are available on the RECENT ACQUISITIONS page. Our collection includes:
- board books, picture books, easy readers
- juvenile fiction and nonfiction
- teen fiction and nonfiction
- audio books, DVDs

Our summer programs resumed in 2021, with a host of great events and activities to engage and delight kids of all ages. Our Summer 2021 programs are listed below as examples of our summer offerings.

Don’t miss this fun event which will highlight the summer programs with entertainment, activities, prizes and more! The Wildlife Science Center is bringing special guest animals. The center is a wildlife rescue service in Anoka County and is home for over 35 critically endangered wolves and many other animals.
Free! Safety protocols will be followed.

READING INCENTIVE Program
2021 Dates: June 6 to August 27
Read books this summer and win amazing prizes!
To participate in the program: After reading a book, simply fill out an online form to participate in the current week’s drawing for prizes.
The program is open to kids of all ages – Preschool through High School. There will be weekly drawings for prizes in two age groups. The prizes can be picked up at the library. Also, every reader may pick up a free book at the library!

For preschoolers through early elementary children.
2021 Dates: July 8, 15, 22, 29 and August 5, 12 (six Thursdays)
Time and Location: 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Marine Gazebo
SCIENCE & ART CAMP
This is the 5th year the Library is sponsoring this popular camp for school age children. Each day different science and art presenters will lead the children in activities.
From 9:00 am to noon each day, at the Marine Gazebo.
Limit of 15 children per session. Cost: $40. Registration is required.
Session 1: June 14 to 18 for children entering grades 1 to 3.
Session 2: June 21 to 25 for children entering grades 4 to 6.
Gather with your friends, family and a blanket to play Bingo. Lots of prizes for all ages!
