Poets of Place + Open Mic
On Thursday, August 28, the public are invited to attend a free event celebrating the power of poetry to create community and explore topics of the heart.
The five St. Croix Valley poets featured in the 2025 ArtReach Poets of Place project will share their poems and new chapbook during Arrow Broken Poetry Collective’s last monthly poetry reading and open mic night. The free chapbook features 10 poems, two from each of the participating poets: MP Flandrick, Daniel Kilkelly, Adam Pieri-Johnson, Kate Seitz and Aaron Sparby. Learn more about the Poets of Place special reading here.
Open Mic starts at 8:00 p.m. If you’d like to read/perform, you will be allotted 3 minutes. Please plan accordingly so everyone has a turn to share their voice. There is no set theme this month. We look forward to hearing your unique voices at open mic!
Time and Date: Thursday, August 28 from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M.
Location: Marine Village Hall, 121 Judd Street, Marine on St. Croix
Free. All are welcome.
