Upgrade to Library Express Lockers

A message from Washington County Library

Library Express lockers at Marine Community Library and Hugo City Hall are being upgraded! The Library Express lockers will be unavailable through late November while new lockers are being installed and tested.

Please note that the Washington County Library book drop will be open throughout the project, so you can still return materials there.

There are many benefits to the new lockers:
– The lockers have a touchscreen and barcode scanner, which means you’ll be able to login using your library card rather than a separate PIN. The touchscreen looks like the self-checkouts at the Marine Community Library and other Washington County Library branches, so it will be intuitive and simple to use.
– The lockers will also integrate with the library catalog, so there will be a more streamlined experience for hold notices and checking out materials.

While the lockers are being upgraded, Library Express users should update the pickup location of their current holds so they can continue to get materials without delays. Staff at any Washington County Library location can help with this process. The closest library branch is Hardwood Creek Library in Forest Lake, which can be reached at (651) 275-7300.

If you have materials that would be sent to the lockers, you will be contacted by library staff to set up a different pickup location. One pickup option is “Marine inside”, where materials are held inside the Marine Community Library.

Everyone at Washington County Library appreciates your patience while we complete this project. We think the result will be a significant improvement to our locker services!
