Oscar-Nominated Films and Party

Support Marine Documentary Night by watching the 2021 Oscar-Nominated Short Films in the comfort of your home!

The Marine Film Society and the Marine Community Library are happy to make this year’s top short films in Live Action Shorts (drama), Documentary Shorts and Animated Shorts available to everyone! This is not limited to people in the St. Croix Valley. Anybody can link in to our event page and gain access to these films. So share this information with your friends and family, wherever they live. A significant percentage of ticket sales will go to support Marine Documentary Night.

Here’s how it works:
Purchase your virtual ticket at the link below and beginning on April 2, watch these three categories of Oscar® nominated short films (5 films in each category):

  • Live Action Shorts
  • Documentary Shorts
  • Animated Shorts

View a single category of short films for $12, or buy all three categories for $30. Beginning on April 2, you have 30 days to view the films once you make your purchase (and 72 hours to complete watching once you begin).

Go to this portal to purchase tickets for these films:

In lieu of having our in-person Oscar Night Party at the Marine Village Hall this year, join us for a virtual cocktail party (via Zoom) to talk about the films and vote for your favorites among the three categories. It will be a fun way to gather and celebrate great filmmaking in a community setting – and to predict if we will continue our streak of picking the films that actually win the Oscar!
6:30 p.m. via Zoom!
