Native American Heritage Month
November 7 @ 8:00 am - November 30 @ 11:30 pm
Join us this November in celebration of National Native American Heritage Month.
The celebration kick-off will take place at the November 7th Marine Documentary Night. The film Bad River will be screened, which follows Wisconsin’s Bad River Band as they battle to protect ancestral lands and waters from a 70-year old pipeline that poses risks to the Lake Superior watershed. Click here for more information.
Look for the specially marked books at Marine Community Library
Native American-related items in Library’s collection will be highlighted for the month of November. Books by Indigenous authors or on Indigenous-related subjects have been marked with a yellow feather sticker.
We encourage you to visit the Library and look for these special items in both adult and children’s collections. Check the photo for an example of a book marked with a yellow feather sticker.
