Hunger Ward
Nominated for a 2021 Oscar, Hunger Ward documents two female health care workers in Yemen fighting to thwart the spread of starvation against the backdrop of a forgotten war. With unprecedented access, the film provides an unflinching portrait of Dr. Aida Alsadeeq and Nurse Mekkra Mahdi as they work to save the live of hunger-stricken children within a population on the brink of famine.
Following the film, an audience Q&A will be held with the L.A. producer.
