On Friday, September 20th at 7:00 P.M., former Marine resident Ellen Anderson Penno will talk about her book Counting Bones: Anatomy of Love Lost and Found.
At age 24, Ellen Anderson Penno lost her partner in a climbing accident as they were ascending Mount Baker. His body, in a deep crevasse, was hidden by an avalanche. Slated to start medical school in just weeks, Ellen chose not to succumb to grief and plunged into her medical studies instead. Counting Bones is a stirring and funny memoir.
