Growing up on her family farm in Minnesota, where Kami’s daily wanderings taught her to have a deep love and respect for the natural world, and later provided her with the inspiration that has led her on a lifelong journey as a painter.  Kami’s work has been in numerous International and National exhibitions.  She is a member of OPA, AIS, and a Signature AWA member.  Magazines such as (partial listing) Southwest Art Magazine, Plein Air Magazine, Art of The West Magazine have featured Kami’s work and achievements with full articles.  In 2008, Kami started and founded the St Croix River School of Painting in Stillwater, Minnesota where she teaches painting with an emphasis on color.  The school and her home now reside on sixteen acres with a 160 year old farmhouse and barn, alongside a serene marsh where her and her students draw much of their inspiration.  “I am driven by my endless curiosity to study and capture color with paint. Painting is my language!”
